History of demons
Demons were once angels of the Heavens, but that past has been long forgotten by modern demons. The demons had lived in hell for hundreds of years, their passage of time and life cycles much grander than our own, yet existing on a parrelling timeline Demons had a glory period in which they tormented the human inhabitants of Earth, but demon summoning and affliction has greatly decreased in modern times to the point of demons being seen as myths.
When the angels had lived in the Heavens, they followed a strict class and role system lead by the highest of the angels, the being most commonly known as G+d. Lucifer was a nature angel of light, but he sought for more and felt the angels deserve the right to practice tasks outside their roles. Lucifer admired G+d's ability to command all and desired to do the same, gathering a large following of angels who supported him. Unfortunately this action was not seen as an act of love, but a declaration of mutiny and insubordination, a clear lack of respect to the order of things and to G+d himself. Because of this, a war broke out, angels in support of G+d's order and angels in support of Lucifer battled heavily against each other. The fight ended in a loss for Lucifer, the angel punished as all angels are by having his role demoted. However there wasn't a role low enough to punish Lucifer and his followers, so the angel along with a third of all the angels in Heaven were stripped of their ultimate role; the role of an angel.
The angels once stripped of their roles were cast out of the Heavens, yet G+d did not want these disobedient followers to go towards His newly created realm for humanity and thus were sent to Hell. Hell was a realm G+d had created to hold the creations deemed unworthy of His Earth or Heavens. Lucifer and his angels were the first inhabitants of Hell with the knowledge of this place being the trash of creation, which hurt worse than the burning pain of having their halos and wings stripped from their bodies. This first generation of Hell is referred to as **The Fallen**
The Fallen were a broken people, with no access to their halos their magical abilities were weak, their strengths further dampened by the heartbreak and loss of the war. Lucifer felt the pain the strongest, yet continued to hold fast his position as the leader. He did his best to guide the Fallen and turn Hell into their new home, encouraging forth the little magics they still had left to create homes and lives. Slowly the Fallen adapted to living in Hell, even going so far as to marry and have children. Lucifer was included in this, procuring a single son who was later to become the second king of hell.
Malificar, the son of Lucifer and the second king of Hell, grew up viewing the bitterness and pain and suffering of the Fallen. All of this claimed from Lucifers love of G+d, the fallen and their children forced to suffer in Hell since they were deemed unworthy of G+ds Earth. This brought Malificar and many of the children of the Fallen a great deal of anger, the man bitter and full of hate. This hate was prominent during the second generation of Hell, and Malificar took the throne from his father to lead the people in this hate. The fallen perhaps were once angels and clung to that, but Malificar viewed himself and his generation as something different. These were the first proclaimed demons, the name adapted by the people with pride.
The demons under Malificars rule learned to harness their powers they inherited from their fallen parents and use it against G+d, twisting the old angel magic into something more sinister. The once glorious magic that could cause miracles at angel hands was now being manipulated by these demons to perform acts of misery. The demons were fierce and determined, and through Malificars lead managed to learn to travel to the realm of the humans. Malificar was full of bitterness and hate, disgusted by his fathers hurt in the name of love, so thus felt the demons deserved to hurt this G+d back by taking what He loved. Malificar believed demons were incapable of love and preached this to his followers, encouraging instead they hurt as many of G+ds precious humans as possible in an act of revenge for both their parents and themselves. Malificar taught so much rage and pain, but never once was his reign questioned for the demons felt the same pull the fallen and angels do to follow and obey their leader. Despite Malificars disbelief in love for demons, he did engage with many women, procuring 8 sons who historically became known as the **seven sons of Malificar** (the eighth son was never formally claimed by Malificar despite living in the castle along the rest)
